Developmental Services, Inc.POSITION TITLE: Staff Recruiter DIVISION: Agency Administration SUPERVISOR: Lead Recruiter CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt STATUS: Full-Time PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Staff Recruiter builds relationships in the community to attract the right individuals that meet the quality and staffing levels in each region through sourcing, screening, and facilitating full-cycle recruitment. This position will lead the recruiting and retention support to assigned regions. This position will work with the development department and additional Human Resources staff to educate and train in the employee experience which will impact the consumer and services. The agency goal is to ensure the client feels supported to attain self-direction, inclusion, personal fulfillment and productivity in all life areas. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain confidentiality adhering to guidelines and company policies. Maintain consistent communication and feedback to supervisor. Comply with all Developmental Services, Inc policies and procedures, which include Human Resources and mandatory training requirements. Understand this position requires commitment of attendance, punctuality, and frequent travel in and around Howard and Miami Counties. Demonstrate financial stewardship, using prudent judgement related to expense(s) authorized and incurred by the company. Purposeful rounding to engage managers and employees at each visit. Support and train Developmental Services, Inc Management teams to develop competency in sourcing, interviewing, selecting and retaining the right candidate. Must be willing to research and recommend new recruiting strategies such as sourcing, screening, and employment branding. Become familiar with each position within the agency to best communicate open positions to potential candidates. Cultivate relationships with key community organizations, i.e. high schools, colleges, workforce development organizations and adult training centers. Coordinate and participate in recruitment/career fairs, both in-person and virtually. Be able to present the agency mission and increase agency awareness throughout the community. Post open positions to outside job boards, college boards, community boards, or social media. Solicit and pursue referrals from employees across all shifts to leverage the Employee Referral Bonus. Understand the agency's benefits and perks to use as a selling point with potential candidates and employees. Partner with management teams to improve recruitment and retention. Solicit and pursue referrals from professional associations. Collaborate with the development department by using social media and recruiting tools to proactively develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need/openings. Utilize reporting tools in ExactHire to document impact of recruiting and retention to assigned region. Maintain open lines of communication between managers, supervisors, and the Human Resources team. Visit all facilities a minimum of three (3) times a week including visiting employees in all settings. Able to professionally create an engaging and informative onboarding experience for new hires. Attend agency meetings as needed and use as a tool to discuss and update all open positions and discuss retention challenges and tools available. Conducts stay and exit interviews and trends findings for retention impact. Meets department goals of hired employees and stay interviews. Meet the company and department goal for retention and open positions. Work independently as well as collaboratively in a micro team environment. Provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner. Must be able to use personal transportation to drive to a variety of locations including surrounding counties. Additional duties as required. OTHER FUNCTIONS: As an agency representative, model the expectations of behavior, culture and mission. Work cooperatively with coworkers and accept other duties as assigned by supervisor. Portray a positive attitude and professional appearance when representing the agency. Be active in community events that may take place outside of normal business hours. Promote the agency mission by generating a positive team atmosphere that fosters employee satisfaction and drive. Attend/request related training as authorized. QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Human Resources, Communication, Marketing or Business preferred, High School Diploma required. Preferred minimum of two (2) years' experience and/or training in Human Resources, Recruitment preferred. Possess and maintain a clear criminal record. Maintain a valid driver's license, insurance on personal vehicle (minimum of PLPD w/medical liability coverage), and maintain insurability as defined by the agency liability insurance carrier. Excellent verbal and written skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word programs. Must be able to work evening and weekends as necessary.
