Verifies insurance and collects pertinent patient information and data. Collects, deductibles, co-pays and flat rates.Knowledge and Skills:
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
1. Minimum of 12 months clerical experience.
2. Proficiency in microsoft products, database management and entry and internet usage.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
1. Six months customer service experience in one of the following fields: medical insurance, financial industry and/or medical industry.
2. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification practices.
