The Behavioral Health Resource Team provides care to patients with complex behavioral health needs in a non-behavioral health setting throughout St. Louis Children's Hospital. They work closely within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to ensure patients receive high-quality care to meet their physical, emotional, and mental health needs. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, administering medication, monitoring patient progress, and providing emotional support to patients and families.

• Sign-on bonus (external candidates) - up to $7,500

• 24 hours per week
• 12 hour shifts
• Nights - 7:00pm-7:30am
• Every 3rd weekend
• Holiday rotation

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

Responsibilities

Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.

Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
