Location: Chicago, ILHospital: RUSH University Medical CenterDepartment: Clinical Staffing Office-AdminWork Type: Part Time (Total FTE between 0.5 and 0.89)Shift: Shift 1 Work Schedule: 12 Hr (7:00:00 AM - 7:00:00 PM)Summary:The Staffing Coordinator oversees and ensures shift scheduling. This role closely monitors scheduled and unscheduled absences and leverages the temp pool to ensure shift coverage. Additionally this role creates and produces attendance reports toward the continuous improvement of workforce planning. This role exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Responsibilities: Interfaces with the supplemental staffing computer software. Ensures shift operational excellence through continuous monitoring of scheduled and unscheduled absences; leverages temporary pool to address shift shortages. Maintains temp pool staffers availability and contact information. Creates and produces requested reports toward absence trend identification. Supports the manager in managing overtime within the department. Ensures the effective maintenance of staffing records in accordance with departmental policies. Oversees the preparation of work and vacation schedules. Assesses long-term staffing needs and communicates plans of action to the manager. Maintains staffing records. Interacts appropriately with external and internal customers. Responds to customer requests in a timely manner. Other information:Required Job Qualifications: High School Diploma. Two years' work experience. Analytical ability is required to problem solve. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to proofread staffing schedules for errors. Excellent organizational abilities are essential to successfully navigate systems and varied responsibilities. Able to work independently and as a member of a team. Strong grasp of computer skills and be proficient in the use of general computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication competence including written, oral, and interpersonal. Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities. Proficient and functional acumen in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability and desire to take direction from management. Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and articulate these effectively. Preferred Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related discipline.
