A professional services firm on Long Island is actively seeking an Accounting professional for a Staff and/or Semi-Senior position with their team. In this role, the Staff / Semi-Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day management of multiple accounting / bookkeeping engagements. Responsibilities: The Staff / Semi-Senior Accountant will:
- Maintain personal accounts for high net worth clients
- Oversee bill pay processing and recording
- Maintain books and records for some corporate accounts
- Maintain daily contact with clients, client's staff and other client service providers
- Prepare month-end closing and adjusting entries
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, financial statements, spending and cash flow reports, etc.
- Assist in budget and forecasting process
- Participate in special projects
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with Bookkeeping duties,
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
