This is a full time, Monday - Friday position. Travel throughout Queens/Manhattan/Long Island is required. This position will interface with a large and diverse workforce in order to increase competency in all regulatory based training. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or equivalent, BA preferred
- Minimum one year experience in I/DD field or related field.
- Ability to interface with large groups, coordinate focus groups and provide feedback as appropriate
- Good organizational and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Driver's License and own vehicle required
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Lead trainer for all agency training programs to include New Employee Orientation, SCIP-R, Defensive Driving and other programs.
- Lead training department staff in the agency introduction to include registration of classes, HR policies and procedures, corporate compliance etc.....
- Oversight of the agency on-line training programs to include class development and procedural implementation.
- Assist in the development, design and implement community based training programs specific to competency based performance measures and agency initiatives.
- Oversight of monthly training protocols and training manuals for both the residential and community services departments. Update the manuals as needed.
- Develop training curriculum based on regulatory requirements, agency needs or assessments and recommendations from specific departments including Quality Assurance, Nursing etc....
- Work collaboratively with all agency directors to identify training needs and implement development programs specific to these needs including retention, staff development, CQl etc...
- Develop training strategies in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Training and provide recommendations in response to program needs.
- Participate in the agency Training Committee and assist in the development and completion of work.
- Attain instructor certification in SCIP-R, CPR/FA. Provide on-site training in these areas as needed.
