Aveanna Education Services (AES) is seeking Behavior Health Technicians (BHTs) to support children receiving ABA-based services in clinics/classrooms. This would be a Full-Time role, 40 hours per week, either 7:30-3:30 or 8-4. The BHT will work one-on-one with students aged 3-5, implementing individualized instructional and behavioral strategies. This role is crucial in supporting the direct implementation of each student's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) and ensuring their progress and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Implementation of ITPs- Work one-on-one with students to implement instructional and behavioral strategies outlined in their Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs).
- Employ evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Training (NET), and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT).
Behavior and Skill Development- Support the development of communication, social, and adaptive skills through structured and naturalistic teaching methods.
- Use techniques like Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to enhance communication skills through a verbal behavior model.
- Facilitate social skills training through structured playgroups, peer modeling, and social stories.
Data Collection and Progress Monitoring- Collect real-time data on target behaviors and skill acquisition using digital tools and software.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing detailed and accurate documentation for review by the BCBA and interdisciplinary team.
Positive Behavior Support- Implement proactive strategies to promote desirable behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and applying Positive Behavior Support (PBS) techniques.
Service Provision- Service Delivery: Provide the specified amount of services as detailed in each student's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
Documentation and Billing- Completion of Daily Clinical Notes: Maintain thorough documentation and complete daily clinical notes to ensure accurate records and facilitate billing for services.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
- At least 1 year experience working with children with developmental and behavioral challenges, preferably in an educational or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to collect and document data accurately and efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Experience with data collection tools and software.
- Familiarity with Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
