General SummaryThe Staffing Coordinator Assistant coordinates staffing and scheduling on a 24-hour basis. This role ensures staffing adjustments for assigned clinical areas and is completed in an accurate, timely fashion in order to provide a sufficient number of clinically competent staff to provide patient care. Uses cost-effective practices following policies and contract language as needed. Facilitates use of temporary staff (PRN and agency) to meet peak census points. Assists in staff orientation to staffing office.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Courses taken to business are desirable.
- Strong customer satisfaction focus desirable.
- Ability to function professionally in a stressful environment.
- Self-directed work experience, preferred.
- Computer literate in windows-based environment in order to perform data entry with high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to include professional telephone skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to utilize effective problem-solving techniques.
