Responsibilities:

As a Staffing Coordinator at Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, you will:

  • Craft monthly schedules and daily assignment sheets for our nursing staff, ensuring optimal coverage.
  • Assist in calculating certified hours for our nursing department, playing a crucial role in maintaining compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing in the selection process, including interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and, when necessary, terminating CNAs, CMTs, and Nurses.
  • Maintain meticulous attendance records for our dedicated nursing employees.
  • Complete Payroll Change Notices for status changes such as hiring, termination, raises, full-time/part-time transitions, and leaves of absence.
  • Skillfully perform reference checks on prospective nursing applicants.
  • Keep a current, updated list of all clinical care employee phone numbers.
  • Follow up with newly hired CNAs, CMTs, and Nurses to ensure that their checklist is complete.
  • Be ready to perform other duties as requested by the Director of Nursing (DON) or Administrator.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 year of experience as a staffing coordinator in a nursing facility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
