Takes notes and/or transcribes from handwritten material. Types, formats, and proofreads a variety of materials including correspondence, memos, reports, charts, statistics, minutes of meetings, etc. Prepares and delivers materials needed and arranges for meetings, meeting times, and locations. Analyzes staffing data and budget requirements to determine the appropriate staffing patterns to ensure effective staffing on all nursing neighborhoods. Schedules employees effectively to ensure staffing meets minimum requirements for Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services regulations, fire policy, and facility procedures. Analyzes and tracks agency usage and billing with accuracy. Completes the payroll for the nursing department, all employee schedule changes, requests for earned time off, and overtime utilizing the software program(s) available. Records absenteeism and tardiness and tracks on appropriate permanent records. Promotes teamwork with employees and delegates staffing responsibilities to supervisors when not present. Adheres to established policies and procedures, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Strictly maintains confidentiality regarding job related activities of nursing. Effectively communicates with residents, visitors, co-workers, vendors, and other team members. Collaborates with DON and other departments for problem solving and communication of employee related issues. May be assigned other duties as appropriate.Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous computer experience required
  • Previous staffing/scheduling experience required
  • Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff
  • Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
  • Manual dexterity, coordination, and skillful use of hands when working with patients and equipment
  • Ability to physically perform necessary documentation in writing
