- Schedule nursing unit staff. Determine and ensure appropriate unit staffing ratio.
- Adhere to nursing FTE standards and manage daily reporting in Excel according to Hospital policy, reporting to DON.
- Accurately communicates nurse Managers/House Supervisor regarding staff, cues and acuity levels.
- Collect and compute staffing statistics on a daily basis and communicating statistics to Nurse Leaders (Attendance, tardiness, and meal alerts).
- Carries out clerical and administrative assignments to support department operation.
- Reports hospital staffing totals to Hospital Leaders, in order to identify current staffing ratios designed to manage patient admissions.
- Identify unit duties of all Nursing Staff in order to report hours worked for payroll.
- Will adhere to all safety policies and safe work practice.
- Will adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required, Bachelor degree in Behavioral Health or Psychology highly preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years Previous experience in Behavioral Health and 2+ years Staffing Coordinator experience preferred.
- Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Completion of Handle With Care training within 90 days of employment.
