The work requires independence of action and the ability to work with a variety of people and in stressful time sensitive situations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are the duties for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. - Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, prepare and oversee the work schedules for Nursing employees
- Complete the daily and projected nursing schedules in a timely manner.
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly schedules are available for the nursing staff in a timely manner.
- Process and approve time off requests seeking Department Supervisor approvals as needed.
- Take all call-ins from staff to ensure awareness of absences and holes that need to be filled.
- Contact eligible staff, including pool employees, to fill absences and holes in a timely manner.
- Monitor Attendance and Reliability of nursing employees
- Monitor the timekeeper records keeping an accurate report on absences, tardiness and missed punches.
- Report excessive absenteeism to the Human Resources Specialist.
- Work with the Pleasant View Human Resources Specialist regarding employees with absence issues.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of computer technology and software applications. Able to learn new software systems for the completion of job duties.
- Ability to organize information, record data accurately, and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
