POSITION: HHA/PCA Staffing Coordinator REPORTS TO: Manager of Paraprofessional Services/Director of Operations POSITION SUMMARY: The HHA/PCA Staffing Coordinator is responsible for assigning Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides as directed to patients under the direct supervision of the Manager of Paraprofessional Services and the Director of Operations. The HHA/PCA Staffing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining communication with agency personnel, HHA/PCA and contract agencies for the daily operations of the Agency. The HHA/PCA Staffing Coordinator provides basic case management services. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Graduate with some College or business education preferred. One or two years experience of office work in a health care setting preferred.
    • Good telephone, organizational, typing and communication skills necessary. Ability to maintain accurate schedules, notes and records.
    • Computer (Basic) literate, good interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

ADA DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES REGULATORY STANDARDS: X Adheres to the Agency Policies and Procedures when scheduling and assigning staff to cases X Ensure all staff assigned meet compliance standards. PERSONNEL: X Participates in recruitment, hiring and orientation activities as directed X Participates in annual administrative areas of performance evaluation for the HHA/PCA as directed X Participates in staff disciplinary process, as directed X Receives and communicates customer/patient/contract complaints and/or concerns to supervisors and appropriate departments PROFESSIONAL X Schedules case coverage, always informing both patient and/or family members of the name of the scheduled caregiver X Participates in basic case management activities as directed X Maintains and updates calendar schedules X Maintains No Shows/Manual Verifications of Attendance X Prepares statistical data, as requested X Communicates verbally and sends written communications to contracts when appropriate and as directed X Participates in agency On-Call as scheduled X Attends meetings as requested X Answers telephone and responds to inquiries or directs calls to appropriate staff X Other assignments as directed to facilitate daily operations CUSTOMER SERVICE/INTERPERSONAL SKILL
