Position Overview (Summary/Objective):

Exciting opportunity to support a growing global Talent Acquisition team! The Staffing Intern will be responsible for directly supporting ongoing staffing operations, processes, and projects for the ARKA business. This is a year long opportunity that presents with professional growth and personal learning not to be missed! Flexible work plan based on your school/class schedule and available as early as June!

Responsibilities:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Intern to support our global Staffing Team starting this July. This is a year-long position providing full time work during the summer months and part time during the ongoing school year, very flexible based on your school calendar and class schedule. Lets start in June or July!

  • Review and input job requisitions into the Applicant Tracking System to publish all roles and ensure the postings meet all company requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule all candidate interviews including in-person, video interviews, candidate greetings, on-site candidate escorting and coordination of all candidate travel logistics.
  • Utilize a variety of web-based tools including social media job boards, applicant tracking and other resources/tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) to support candidate sourcing activities to identify candidates.
  • Coordinate all Employee Referral Program actions and referrals including monitoring, tracking and reporting.
  • Coordinate all recruitment job fairs and career fairs logistics involving both on-site events and virtual events.
  • Review and process all travel related staffing expense accounts.
  • Participate in various staffing projects as assigned.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as required to support different staffing initiatives in support of the recruiters and/or hiring managers
  • Learn and have fun

Basic Qualifications:

Educational Requirements

  • Current College/University student
  • Entering Sophomore or Junior School Year
  • Able to work a minimum of 20 hours/week during school year, 40 hours/week during summer months, schedule to be worked out based on classes
  • Able to work on-site in Danbury, CT, with some weekly remote flexibilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Experience Requirements

  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in the required skills including interests in the tasks and duties described through previous work, internships and/or school experiences
  • Able to work autonomously, robust prioritization, strong attention to detail, and ability to achieve time sensitive timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience as a solid team player and collaborator
  • Strong analytical skills, able to interpret data/information for reporting
  • Proven ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and privacy

Skill Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within some type of office setting, professional work environment, recruiting, staffing, and/or hiring environment
  • Interest in Staffing, Talent Acquisition, Hiring
  • Experience working with computer systems, Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and/or HRIS systems (we will train)

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to use hands to keyboard, communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. This would require the ability to move around the campus and occasionally move/lift items weighing up to 25 lbs. This position requires the incumbent to access export-controlled information.
