Warehouse Worker Manassas, VA 12+ Months with a high possibility of extension Description: Monday through Friday 2PM to 10PM. First two to three weeks for training will be Monday thru Friday 7AM to 3PM. Working Conditions: Works in warehouse and cold room storage areas; fast paced and time sensitive environment. Regularly required to stand through entire shiftBending, walking, stooping, standing, climbing and frequently lifting up to 50 lbsrequired. Education: High school diploma or GED required Experience: Previous PIV experience is requiredPosition will be 90% PIVWill need to obtain forklift certification within 90 days of hire. The purpose of this position is: Warehouse pickers are responsible for pulling/consolidating material from various warehouse location using handheld scanners to fulfill orders for outbound shipment. This position includes significant duties such as: Safety: Following health and safety regulations, including proper procedures when handling materials and operating equipment. Drives PIVs to retrieve/transport materials from warehouse locations to other plant locations, or to pick up items from several locations within plant for shipment. Picking: Using written requests to locate items, and then pulling them from various warehouse locations. Consolidating: Grouping items together and consolidating the material during picking. Quality assurance: Checking the quality of the products, and reporting any damaged or missing items. Documentation: Completing the required documentation for closing and validating the order. Communication: Communicating with order packers to ensure they have all necessary items for delivery. Delivers expectations and sets targets to be achieved on a daily basis Communicates with supervisor and/or lead regarding day-to-day functions in the warehouse Participates in continuous improvement projects. #TB_PH
