Role

The Staging Technician is responsible for loading equipment with software specifically related to the customer's needs.

Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

* Complete certification training on equipment supported.

* Unpacks point of sales equipment and sets equipment up for loading.

* Loads application software into equipment based on configuration information provided.

* Verifies correct version of application software is loaded into peripheral equipment and, if necessary, reloads correct versions and required patches.

* Loads customer database files into the point of sales equipment.

* Verifies communications between the point of sales equipment and peripherals.

* Registers the point of sales equipment and software on the vendor website.

* Repacks equipment and peripherals prior to shipment.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* Basic knowledge of networking (i.e., program IP addresses, Subnet Masks, and Gateways).

* Experience in PC troubleshooting.

* Ability to diagnose PC hardware related problems remotely, and have the ability to confer this information to employees and customers.

* Background in?one or more of the following fields?is?a plus:??video surveillance, networking, and computer repair.

* Prefer the ability to set up and program CCTV DVRs, HVRs, and NDVRs.

* Prefer the ability to set up and configure various types of analog and IP based cameras.

* Prefer the ability to troubleshoot connections issues, focusing, and lens configuration of analog and IP based cameras.
