Develops strategies and tactics to implement the Rural Medicine initiative; establishes direction and goals; recruits stakeholder teams. Develops and seeks funding for rural medicine programs; coordinates with local donors to ensure adequate funding is available. Provides information and reporting as needed to support the program.What you need to knowSalary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience.Required Education* Associate's degree in a related medical field, such as EMT/Paramedic, nursing, or medical assistant or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Experience* One year of relevant experience in medicine, nursing or clinical simulation.Required Licenses and Certifications* Ability to obtain the CHSE or CHSOS certification within 3 years of employment.Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree in a health, project management, or communications related field.* One year of program management / events planning or healthcare simulation experience.* Three years related experience in simulation, healthcare, or teaching.* Three years related experience in events management / project management.* Experience with/performing as Standardized Patient or Medical Teaching Associate.* CHSE-Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator and/or medical certification or licensure.* CHSOS - Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist.* CHSE - Certified Health Simulation Educator.* Current (within last five years) healthcare certification or license. Project Management Professional (PMP).* Experience in a healthcare setting.* Experience in post-secondary education.* Experience with Human Patient Simulators / Medical procedure simulators.* Experience with Audio / visual equipment and software, including CCTV technologies, microphones, and Crestron system, and learning management systems.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others,* Working knowledge of standard office equipment: computer, keyboard, multifunctional printer, telephone. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.* Ability to work independently as well as within teams.* Ability to effectively and comfortably interact with faculty, staff, students, and the community.* Strong customer service skills.* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom, and Google applications. Highly efficient organization and time management skills.* High level of attention to detail.Responsibilities:* Logistics: Coordinates and implements standardized patient program for the campus including recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating standardized patients, and compiling reports. Coordinates with medicine coordinators to implement standardized patient encounters, complete digital audio/video recordings, ensure student debriefings are completed, and the evaluation of standardized patients' performances and checklists. Coordinates training classes, workshops, presentations, and quality assurance; provides customer support as appropriate. Participates in on-campus and assigned TeleSim events. Travels to other sites as needed. Assists with the daily simulation activities at the assigned CLRC site.* Compliance and Collaboration: Designs, develops, modifies, and maintains instructor-led and/or Standardized Patient based training classes, workshops, and presentations in alignment with CLRC SP Program mandates. Maintains the assigned physical space and supplies, as assigned per location. Collaborates with faculty and Standardized Patient Program Manager for training of standardized patients to specific cases for performance. Collaborates with faculty and staff for planning of standardized patient events on the assigned campus and external sites.
