Position Summary:
The Stress, Trauma and Resilience (STAR) Program Manager provides programmatic, clinical, and administrative leadership and supervision to staff in the Outreach division of the STAR Trauma Recovery Center and participates in administrative, quality improvement, safety, and financial areas. The STAR Program Manager also provides strategic and operational oversight for the Brief Emotional Support Teams (BEST) Program, including curriculum development, training facilitation, follow-up engagement activities, and ongoing consultation activities for internal and external entities. The STAR Program Manager coordinates details and manages deliverables related to external contracts. The STAR Program Manager coordinates with the STAR Program Director and the rest of the STAR Program team at the Trauma Recovery Center to operationalize efforts that support the healthcare workforce at OSUWMC during times of high stress through consultation with unit, department, division, and senior leaders and through delivery of peer support and team debriefing activities.
The STAR Program Manager works with the program manager of the Trauma Recovery Center to deliver the BEST model in a community setting, and to develop additional relevant curriculum that supports the needs of survivors of crime-related violence and the entities that serve them in the community.
The STAR Program Manager maintains a clinical caseload, providing psychotherapy with patients accessing care within the Trauma Recovery Center.
This position will report to the STAR Program Director at OSUWMC.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: Masters degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling and valid, independent Ohio licensure (LISW or LPCC) required. A minimum of five years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders and a minimum of three years of experience working with trauma survivors is also required. Experience via an internship prior to completing Masters level education may be considered. Training in Cognitive Processing Therapy, EMDR, or other evidence-based trauma specific treatment modality preferred.
