As Associate Clinical Director, you will provide oversight and consultation on behavioral supports to NC START West Team along with Clinical Director. Provide training and consultation to staff, families and providers. Participate in recurring team meetings as necessary. Develop behavior support recommendations as necessary for guests at the START Resource center that require more extensive safety measures as well as consultation to START Therapeutic Coaching services. Participate in discussion regarding potential admissions and provide on-site consultation as needed for people receiving START services.To qualify for this position the employee must meet have Clinicians with I/DD experience, especially with individuals that have challenging behaviors . Experience developing and implementing behavior support plans preferred. Responsibilities include:Directs Quality Management Performance- Assists in the evaluation of high risk behaviors on an emergent and routine basis. Provides secondary review of sentinel events and potential hospitalizations to ensure that all viable community alternatives have been applied. Designs and/or implements treatment protocols employed by staff in the area assigned. Ensures appropriate assessments for all consumers in area assigned. Reviews quality of services provided on a regular basisManages Programs- Provides clinical and programmatic oversight for Therapeutic Support services in conjunction with Clinical Director. Plans, coordinates, and programs supplemental training events for Team, along with Director in accordance to clinical supervision policy. Coordinates with Director to ensure current and effective training programs and timelines.Manages Employee Hiring and Training- Participates in the interview, hiring, and orientation of new Team members in conjunction with Director as requested.Performs Clinical Responsibilities- Maintains currency on Evidence Based Practice (EBP) guidelines and research and introduces concepts into RHA programmatic models and START model. Maintains START certification.Our ideal START Associate Clinical Director is an excellent communicator and cooperative team player who excels at interviewing the people we serve to learn about their interests and goals, even those who cannot communicate verbally. You must also be detail-oriented and have excellent written communication skills to develop and disseminate training plans accordingly.Required Education/Experience/Certifications/Licenses:Master's degree in human services. Individual experience will be taken into consideration.Prefer supervisory experience.Must possess an expertise in the services being provided. Must have direct support experience supporting individuals with mental health and developmental disability diagnosis. Must have experience with crisis management and crisis counseling. Valid driver's license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.The following are conditions of employment: CPR, first aid,ProAct certification and others that may be specified and/or required by future company regulations.
