We are looking for a State and Local Tax Manager to join our National State and Local Tax Practice. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. Responsibilities:
* Working in a highly interactive and dynamic team environment within Citrin Cooperman's National SALT practice.
* Working with clients and internal Citrin Cooperman personnel performing tax research and analysis on a wide array of SALT matters and subjects including:
* Income and indirect tax nexus.
* Apportionment and revenue sourcing for income, business activity and indirect taxes.
* Sales taxability matrices and analysis for indirect taxes.
* Credits and incentives for job creation and qualifying investments.
* SALT planning and implementation.
* M&A SALT due diligence for pending transactions, and
* SALT controversies involving audits and administrative appeals.
Qualifications:
* BS in Accounting, LLM or master's in taxation.
* CPA and/or JD preferred.
* Broad SALT experience, including income/franchise tax, personal income tax, and sales/use tax.
* 6+ years of tax experience working in a public accounting or law firm of which at least 4 of the years was exclusively in SALT.
* Ability to grow strong team relationships.
* Effectively communicate verbally and in writing both internally and externally.
* Strong analytical and research skills in a firm or corporate environment.
* Highly organized.
* A strong desire to learn new concepts and apply these concepts real-time.
* Comprehensive understanding of multi-state tax concepts.

For positions in New York and California, the salary range is $130,000 -- $220,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
