This position will be within Corporate Legal. Corporate Legal provides comprehensive relationship management and advice to the firm's Corporate Functions and coordinates and sets firm policy on the areas covered by the following groups: Conflicts, Bank Regulation, Corporate Governance, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Corporate Law, Financial Crimes and Political Law, Global Technology and the Firm's Chief Administrative Office (CAO) functions. This position will fall within the Corporate Responsibility/Government Relations and ESG Practice group.
As a State/Regulatory Engagement and Affirmative Challenges - Executive Director, Assistant General Counsel within our Corporate Legal team, you will be a trusted advisor to senior management and serve as the attorney responsible for providing day-to-day coverage of various legal and regulatory challenges arising across the Firm's lines of businesses and coordinating a consistent response, working closely with the relevant Legal SMEs and the broader Corporate Legal team. The successful candidate will possess broad knowledge of both the federal and state rulemaking and legislative processes, along with a deep understanding of the banking regulatory environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, capable of leading internal and external partners toward a common goal. The successful candidate will work with line of business and Corporate Legal to deliver on the responsibilities highlighted below.
