First-Class Stationary Engineer License from the City of Buffalo is required to be considered for position
What your compensation will look like:
- $37.41 per hour
- Additional $.34 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift
- Additional $.41 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift
- Overtime Pay
- Time worked after 8 hours of work is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay
- Time worked on Saturday is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay
- Time worked on Sunday is paid at 2 times (double pay) regular rate of pay

About our Location:
The Buffalo, NY plant is located on the waterfront, providing convenient access to Canada and major cities like Toronto and New York City. It offers employees opportunities to progress in their careers through seniority-based
bidding and apprenticeship programs. The plant organizes events such as a summer barbecue, a family picnic at a local amusement park during downtime, and a holiday dinner for all three shifts served by the leadership team.

What your day will look like:
- Creating high quality foods that are eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDE

- Install, maintain, repair power plant equipment (includes, but not limited to: Boilers, Compressor, Cogeneration and HVAC)
- Identifying and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues
- Provide technical support/skills for equipment troubleshooting and controls/equipment modifications
- Performing both uptime and downtime preventative in adherence to the master PM schedule
- Perform corrective maintenance orders
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
- Attend meeting and trainings as required
- Assist in training new employees
What your schedule will look like:
- 8-hour swing shift schedule (rotation every week with designated days off)
- 1st shift: 6 am to 2 pm
- 2nd shift: 2 pm to 10 pm
- 3rd shift: 10 pm to 6 am
- Ability and willingness to work any shift, including days, nights, weekends, overtime and holidays
- Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school education or GED
- Possess a First-Class Stationary Engineer License from the City of Buffalo
- 3 years (minimum) experience in operation of a mid-size power plant
- 4 years (minimum) maintenance experience with basic knowledge in pipe fitting, electrical troubleshooting and blueprint reading
- Working knowledge of PLC's, HVAC systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
Preferred Skills:
- NYS 7G Pesticide Application Certification
- EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Experience with industrial air compressors
- NFPA 70e Certification
- Experience with cooling towers and water treatment
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
- Need to be able to work in a tobacco free environment
