Job Description
The Stations Procurement Coordinator will work closely with the Station Project Managers, will manage the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for the station construction. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
* Analyze project requirements and assess procurement needs for materials, equipment, and services.
* Determine appropriate sourcing strategies, including vendor selection, negotiation approaches, and contract types, to optimize value and minimize risks.
* Conduct thorough evaluations of supplier capabilities, qualifications, performance history, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
* Oversee the issuance of purchase orders, contracts, and agreements to selected suppliers and subcontractors in accordance with project requirements and procurement policies.
* Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance with respect to delivery schedules, product quality, and compliance with contractual obligations.
* Implement performance measurement mechanisms and conduct regular assessments to ensure adherence to project timelines, specifications, and quality standards.
* Identify and assess procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions, vendor reliability, and contractual disputes.
* Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential issues and minimize their impact on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
* Perform other related duties as assigned, promoting a positive team environment and a culture of collaboration.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
* Experience in working in large and complex construction projects.
* Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with procurement software tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex data and distill into a clear, compelling and concise narrative.
* Knowledge of procurement best practices, import regulations, competitive bidding, market conditions, subcontract terms and conditions.
* Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
* Time management skills, able to work on multiple projects at the same time and manage and coordinate competing organizational needs.
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
