Job Title: Statistical Assistant Employment Type: Contract Work Hours: 37.5 hrs./week Work site: 100% Onsite Location: One State Street Plaza, NY, NY 10004 Job Duration: 2 Years Closing: 12/16/2024. Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in data analytics.
- 5 years of experience in compiling and computing data according to statistical formulas for use in data analytic and/or statistical studies.
- Proof of eligibility to work in NYS.
- A Bachelor's Degree.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Analyze and understand business requirements to design effective data models.
- Use business intelligence software (Tableau and Microsoft Power BI) to create dashboards and visualize data.
- Designs and prepare periodic reports as per requirements detailed in official Client policies.
- Use technical expertise to automate manual processes and reporting.
- Compile and compute data according to statistical formulas for use in data analysis and/or statistical studies.
- Work with complex data sets to understand problems and recommend procedures while using various analytical and statistical approaches.
- Prepare business analytics and assist in preparing metrics and reporting.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for data, aggregations, and visualizations.
- Conduct research and analysis of data at Client, definitions and usage, system flows, challenges, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with business users and business analysts to develop analytical strategies for implementation in various projects.
- Develop documentation including data dictionaries, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with identification, documentation and management of any data quality, integrity and availability issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
In addition, the candidate must possess the following abilities:
- Develop metrics and reports.
- Data analysis.
- Data visualization.
- High-level competency in Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, macros, etc.).
- Expertise in relational database management systems, SQL, data modeling.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements to technical specifications for IT.
- Highly motivated and effective working autonomously and as part of cross-functional teams.
- Ability to multi-task across projects while maintaining a high-quality work product
Miscellaneous Information:
- Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Shift timing to be determined during the interview.
- Client does not provide parking, but the office is accessible by subway or bus.
- Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams
- Training will be provided.
