Position Summary:
This position is responsible for learning the statistical filing associate responsibilities through monitoring and completing various statistical filings and aspects of regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and complete CSP and other ISO filings:
- Run detailed quarterly premium and loss statistical data through error checks, correct errors, and submit data to ISO.
- Research errors and statistical plans and work with programmers to implement recurring corrections.
- Annually, reconcile data in aggregate by state and by line of business to the Annual Statement.
- Prepare and submit other miscellaneous annual ISO data calls.
- Monitor and complete Abandoned Property filings:
- Contact claims examiners and payees regarding checks that have been outstanding for more than one year and request checks to be reissued or voided based on the responses received.
- For checks that remain outstanding over the state-specific dormancy periods, perform required due diligence, submit Abandoned Property filings and remit funds to each state per the required schedules.
- Monitor and complete Brite Insurance Agency filings, including tax returns:
- Renew all broker licenses.
- Submit state corporation filings to maintain registration.
- Prepare and file state corporate income tax returns, and any applicable surplus lines premium tax returns.
- Monitor and complete Workers Compensation calls:
- Compile WC premium and loss data by policy year and accident year per the rules of NCCI and the respective state WC rating bureaus.
- Ensure data in aggregate agree with the Annual Statement.
- Prepare and submit all annual financial data calls.
- Review Sliding Scale dividend calculations.
- Print WINS and Freedom checks.
- Prepare data calls (e.g., TRIA, catastrophe and other).
- Handle tax compliance for personal usage of company cars.
- Prepare footnotes other than tax for statutory annual statements.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 required.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel functions, such as formulas and vlookup. Knowledge of VBA, Access and Python preferred.
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred.

The salary range for this role is$45,100 - $77,800. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
