If you are interested in contributing to the largest Youth focused non-profit in the country, please read on!Stay & Play Caregiver Salary: $11.00 per hourStay & Play Caregiver Hours: Two shifts available: 08:00 am - 12:00 pm Monday - Friday or 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday - Thursday and 08:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturdays (Part Time)Stay & Play Caregiver Responsibilities:* Implements and participates in activities that develop youth within the established guidelines* Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families* Supervises the children, program space, and all activities including following all procedures and standards* Maintains a healthy and safe environment for the participating children in Child Watch and/or Summer Fun Club* Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents* Engages parents as volunteers and connects them to the YMCA* Maintains program site and equipment* Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings, and staff training* Disseminates concerns to supervisor immediately* Helps to promote other YMCA activities and programs* Maintains required safety practices (e.g., bathroom procedures, sign-in /out procedures, etc.)* Performs other duties as assigned.Stay & Play Caregiver Qualifications:* CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within thirty (30) days of hire date* Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred* 18+ years of age* Ability to implement and participate in age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities for the children in Child Watch and/or Summer Fun Club* Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from diverse backgrounds* Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred, but not requiredStay & Play Caregiver Benefits:* Supplemental insurance benefits (Voluntary Accident/Injury, Hospital, and Cancer coverage via Aflac)* 12% employer contribution to your YMCA pension plan* YMCA Membership* Up to 100% off of Childcare and Camps* Exceptional growth potential for your role and careerSalary: $11.00 per hourJob Type: Part-timeYMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer All Qualified Women, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and US Veterans Encouraged to ApplyARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you feel that you would be right for this nonprofit job, please fill out our initial 3-minute, mobile-friendly application.
