Job DescriptionSteel Detailing Checker: GPAC is partnered with a well-established steel Manufacturing company. They are searching for a Sr Steel Detailing Checker to coordinate and check work from in house and contracted detailers around the country. Due to continued growth our client company needs to hire an organized Steel Detailer with strong computer skills with an emphasis on coordinating and checking. As a Sr Detailing Checker, you will be responsible for delegating work to detailers, scheduling, submitting drawings and models to our fabrication shop and erection crews, and checking other detailers work to ensure quality. You will also be asked to detail from time to time, if deadlines need to be met, change orders quickly detailed. Company: Our client company has extensive experience in heavy structural / miscellaneous steel fabrication & erection, tilt-wall / precast erection, and other related heavy construction disciplines. With two locations in texas and both facilities having over 170,000 Sq Feet of fabrication space, they are able to tackle some of the largest projects in the country, from professional sports stadiums, industrial and manufacturing facilities, to international airports. Steel Detailing Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check Detailers work
- Coordinate contracted detailers.
- Liaison between Project Managers and detailing department
- Coordinate drawings from design to release for fabrication
- Working with project engineers to clarify approval drawings
- Review RFI's
- Ensuring drawings are in compliance with AISC standards of steel construction
- Background in steel construction
- Associates degree with a focus in architecture or construction management
