Location: Norfolk, VirginiaContract Duration: 8-Month Contract (starting January 2025) - Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of this project.Job informationThe job entails working with structural steel modules, each module being between 40-70 tonnes. The steel needs to be shaken out and pieces separated, then assembled as per each drawing. These will include beams, pieces of channel, handrails etc. It will involve assembly with bolted connections. Once completed these will be shipped to a Naval base.Key Details:Start Date: January 2025Working Hours: Minimum 50 hours per week, 6 days per week (Sunday off)Hourly Rate:$44.86 per hour for the first 40 hours$57.86 per hour for overtime (hours over 40)Sunday rate (TBC)Per Diem: $103.00 per day to cover accommodation and travel expensesPayroll: Weekly payroll through our American officeAdditional Benefits:Rotation Schedule: 12/2 rotation with the option to fly home every 12 weeksVisa Requirements:Valid UK/Irish Passport is essentialACRO background check (Police Certificate) requiredCandidates will need to attend a US Visa appointment in Dublin or LondonQualifications & Requirements:Certification: NVQ or City & Guilds qualified in relevant tradeExperience: Previous experience in steel fixing or plating is essentialVisa Appointment: All candidates must attend a US visa appointment (location to be confirmed)Why Join Us?This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading construction and engineering company, in a dynamic and growing project.
