TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Stepdown RN in Bryan, Texas, 77802!Pay Information$1,950 per weekAbout The Position

• Deliver patient care with a focus on post-surgical and cardiac patients, including:
  • Post-24-hour CABG, cardiac surgery patients post-CCU, IMCU overflow, high-acuity respiratory cases, post-cath, and post-pacemaker.
• Manage non-titratable cardiac drips, including amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, and heparin.
• Interpret and document telemetry strips accurately; ensure appropriate responses based on findings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and patient care technicians (PCTs).
• Float as needed to other units (e.g., Telemetry, Med-Surg, IMCU, ER Holds) and between Bryan and College Station campuses.
• Perform hourly rounding and support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) with the assistance of PCTs.
• Maintain patient safety, provide education, and adhere to evidence-based nursing protocols.

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown or Telemetry experience with cardiac gtt management.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
• Must pass the Basic Dysrhythmia test with at least 83% (three attempts allowed).

Preferred:

• Post-procedural care experience.
• Experience with high-acuity PCU patients.
