Responsibilities:
Patient Monitoring and Assessment:Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition. Perform detailed assessments to identify any changes in a patient's condition and report concerns to the healthcare team.
Administer Medications and Treatments:Administer prescribed medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other treatments, ensuring accurate dosage and observing for any side effects or adverse reactions.
Develop and Implement Care Plans:Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments, needs, and goals.
Manage Post-Surgical or Critical Care Recovery:Provide care for patients recovering from major surgeries, cardiac procedures, or other critical conditions, offering support to stabilize and monitor progress.
Patient Education:Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and recovery process. Provide guidance on self-care, medication adherence, and lifestyle changes for post-discharge care.
Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, medications, and progress in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team:Work closely with physicians, specialists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best patient outcomes.
Ensure Patient Comfort and Safety:Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families. Address concerns and ensure a safe and supportive environment for recovery.
Assist with Procedures:Assist physicians with diagnostic or therapeutic procedures when necessary, ensuring patient comfort and safety during these procedures.
Emergency Response:Respond to emergency situations, such as rapid changes in patient condition, and provide immediate nursing interventions in a timely manner.
Quality Improvement and Compliance:Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, while adhering to safety standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
