Job Description:Requirements:Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certifications within 12 months of hire.Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sterile Processing TechSuccessful completion of at least 1 previous travel assignment Position Overview:The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Technician cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all instruments used for surgical procedures and patient care, performs all daily biological and sterile supply testing and maintains logs for each, functions throughout the facility to organize and direct instrument needs to units, assists clinical operations as needed with endoscopy procedures, stocks and orders supplies for unit as directed, and will be responsible for understanding and being fully involved in completion of competencies based on AVH policies, AORN, AAMI, HSPA, and CER standards that are used as guidelines for SPD practices.The SPD Technician will be an active member of the entire department, with the ability to help in roles outside of surgically specific job duties if needed. The SPD Technician will work collaboratively with others within the department to ensure an efficient, professional, and respectful environment. The SPD Technician will work with other departments as well in regards to patient safety and communication.SHIFTS: 5 x 8 hour shifts per week. Occasional weekend call (every 4th or 5th weekend) Willingness to work holidays if required HOUSING: Extremely expensive, even more so in winter. Please consider housing options in the surrounding towns: Basalt, Carbondale, & Glenwood Springs. FYI ***/month is common for a 1 BR apartment in Basalt. Travelers looking for a housing budget less than this should probably not be submitted.
