About The PositionJob Title: Sterile Processing TechnicianJob Description:We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patient care.Key Responsibilities:Receive and inspect surgical instruments and medical equipment for cleanliness and functionality.Decontaminate and sterilize instruments using appropriate techniques and equipment, adhering to established protocols.Assemble and package sterile instruments and trays for surgical procedures.Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and monitor equipment functionality.Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments.Adhere to safety and infection control standards, following all regulatory guidelines.Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; certification in sterile processing technology preferred.Previous experience in a sterile processing or healthcare environment is a plus.Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control practices, and relevant regulations.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.9457448EXPTEMP
