Perform multiple tasks assisting with the daily operations in the Sterile Processing department including, decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization and distribution of supplies, and instruments for the Operating room.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
Assists with preparing instruments for various trays.
Assists with rotation and maintaining quality of supplies
Assists OR staff and surrounding clinical staff with instrument needs
Provide excellent and courteous customer service
Assembly of case carts from Surgeons' Preference Card/Pick List Assists with decontamination methods, operating case cart/instrument washers, sterilizers and sterile storage.
Conducts biological testing on all sterilizers: steam and Sterrad (low temperature sterilization with Hydrogen Peroxide).
Performs basic computer functions.
Assists in the use of the IMPRESS Instrument Training System.
Practices within the standards of AAMI/ANSI, AORN, OSHA and RMC policies and procedures.
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
High school diploma or GED equivalent; Knowledge of medical terminology, instrumentation, surgical procedures and some experience in the healthcare setting is preferred; Must complete the Sterile Processing training program and receive certification within one (1) year of hiring into the position.
Evening Shift: Monday through Friday; 3p-11:30p. Some weekends may be required.
