The Operating Room is team oriented and very collaborative keeping quality and safety as our main goal. The Manager leads by example and coaches, mentors, and elevates her team members. The Sterile Processing Technician, under the direction of the unit charge nurse, collects, cleans, disinfects, inspects and sterilizes surgical instruments and other medical equipment. Maintains code carts, chest carts, urology carts. Cleans hospital wide equipment as needed.Shift: Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:30pm and includes weekend on- call (24 hours on Saturday/Sunday) every 7 weeks and one holiday per year.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma/GEDLicensure/Certification/RegistrationCertification in surgery technology preferred.If certification is not held at hire, must obtain within 1 year from hire.Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience RequiredCompletion of formal central service technician or surgery technologist program preferred.Previous central service, surgery, or patient care work experience preferred.
