About our Unit:
At Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC), our Surgical Services Department is the region's largest referral center, offering advanced robotic-assisted surgeries and a recently upgraded hybrid operating suite. We provide a wide range of surgical specialties, including breast, cosmetic, ENT (ear, nose and throat), general, gynecology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral surgery and orthopedics. The PACU is equipped to handle immediate postoperative care, focusing on patient safety and comfort during recovery from anesthesia. Our Sterile Processing Department ensures that all surgical instruments and equipment meet the highest standards of sterility and readiness, playing a crucial role in infection control and patient safety. We pride ourselves on offering a progressive and comprehensive surgical experience, supported by a dedicated team and state-of-the-art facilities.
JOB SUMMARY:
* Cleans and assembles instruments according to prescribed procedures and techniques. Must be able to lift heavy trays and deal with sharp instruments in addition to being capable of pulling heavy carts. Must be able to perform sterilization, read cultures and document appropriately.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
* 1 year of Related Experience Preferred.
