About Us: Milford Regional Medical Center is a full-service, community and regional teaching hospital, with 145 beds, providing acute-care serving a region of 20-plus towns. Our Perioperative function supports 8 operating rooms and approximately 7,000 cases annually. Our clinicians are skilled in the most advanced procedures and technology, and provide personalized patient care in a warm and caring environment. Statement of Purpose: The incumbent directs proper care and storage of supplies and equipment used in patient care. The Sterile Processing Technician/Trainee is an active participant in our Sterile Processing Education Program. Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Certification / License:
- Candidate must be actively enrolled in a sterile processing certification program or have a certification test date scheduled prior to hire.
- Successful completion of 1 year of surgical technology curriculum would also satisfy this requirement.
Experience:
- Willing to train or previous formal on-the-job training in sterile processing;
- Previous experience in sterile processing; or
- Previous formal training in a related field, e.g., Surgical Technology.
MRMC Differentials: Hospital differentials are:
$3.50 hourly for evenings,
$4.75 hourly for nights,
and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
