Join the KARL STORZ team as aSterile Reprocessing Technicianand play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient decontamination of critical clinical and non-clinical equipment. In this hands-on role, you will operate advanced decontamination equipment, ensure the integrity of sterilization processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations. Your expertise will directly support our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in every aspect of our workflow.

Hours– 6 AM EST – 2 :30 PM EST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and decontaminate clinical and non-clinical scopes and instruments.
  • Inspect packaging integrity and properly dispose of soiled packaging.
  • Execute daily workflow and adhere to standard work processes.
  • Support internal/external compliance and process improvements.
  • Assist with associate training and department projects.
  • Perform SAP transactions and contribute to quality audits and LEAN initiatives.
  • Monitor RO/DI water system for decontamination processes.
  • Support the sterilization and processing of instruments per protocols.
  • Fulfill expedite requests and perform overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of decontamination processes, equipment, and agents.
  • Experience with handling HazMat/Biohazards.
  • Strong communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle changing priorities, and maintain a professional attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Central Service Technician Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • 2 years of experience in a related role.
  • SAP experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 320 lbs. and use a manual pallet jack.
  • Frequent movement, including standing, bending, walking, and occasional use of a warehouse ladder.
