Are you thinking about advancing your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Sterling Aviation, our Atlanta office is looking for a new Air Logistics Aerospace Business Development Manager to join our Air Logistics team.
**Your Role**
You'll identify and secure new sales leads and opportunities within the allocated territory (nationally), and in accordance with the Sales Team Strategic plan to implement sales strategy in conjunction with the wider sales team and executive management. Overall, you'll help build a positive image of Sterling at the assigned national and global accounts, and actively support strategies to increase wins. You'll have the ability to represent the organization at a senior level when visiting customers and attending trade-shows/events.
**Your Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for managing customer accounts, relationships and agreements on a global basis.
+ Develop specific sales strategies on an account level and follow execution (same day/next day urgent deliveries globally).
+ Communicates with customers at a senior level to assess overall level of satisfaction and also deals with critical situations with accounts at risk.
+ Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
+ Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
+ Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
+ Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
+ Attend customer functions/events in an effort to secure positive relations with customers.
+ Manage & provide customer with timely operational assistance (i.e. routings, escalations, quotes & communication).
+ Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the market place and provides reports, on a regular basis.
+ Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key airport and aviation clients in the region (commercial/private).
+ Makes customers, both internal and external, a primary focus of attention.
+ Builds and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring the necessary resources are directed to meet customer needs and solutions on a global basis.
+ Reporting regularly to management on progress against targets.
+ Forecast sales and manage the sales pipeline.
**Your Skills and Experiences**
+ 2+ years of experiencein a field sales or business development environment
+ 5+ years of freight forwarding and logistics industry experience
+ 2+ years of experience in aerospace, aviation or general air logistics experience
+ BA/BS or equivalentwork experience
+ Group leadershipskills
+ Travel to see existing and future clientele (1-2x per month varying)
+ Computer proficiency (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
