This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.We are currently seeking Stewards for Mississippi State University (MSU), located in Starkville, MS to provide back of house support throughout Davis Wade Stadium (Football), Dudy Noble Field (Baseball), Humphrey Coliseum (Basketball), and other sporting/pop events throughout the year.Mississippi State University is a large campus in the heart of Mississippi where the Bulldogs reign supreme. Football games bring in 65,000 adoring fans while baseball games bring in 16,000 fans to cheer on their College World Series Champs. This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by athletic/catered events.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes, and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
- Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
- Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
- Properly washes, stacks, and stores China, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
- Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
- Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes as needed.
- Assists with equipment & inventory control, maintenance of the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
- Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
- Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
- Helps run food to food service prep areas.
- Assists in other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.
Performs other related duties as required.QualificationsEducation and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen or as a steward is preferred, experience in customer service role is preferred.
- Must be a phenomenal team player.
- ServSafe Certified preferred.

Work Environment This position may be throughout the stadium, in and out of kitchens, suites, clubs, and walkways. This position will spend the majority of time in the kitchen and dish pit area where there will be hot water, chemicals, and typical kitchen equipment and utensils. - No patterned or bright colored socks
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of moving through kitchen, coolers, and storage spaces. Traveling throughout the venues in different terrains.
- Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting up-to 50 pounds at a time.
- Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
- Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
