JOB SUMMARY

The Infusion Specialist is responsible for the precise infusion of cannabis extracts into concentrate, flower, edible, and alternative products ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. This position safely operates and maintains infusion equipment, collaborates with production stakeholders to enhance infusion procedures and quality control measures, and is responsible for accurate regulatory records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the quality and safety of infused cannabis finished products.
  • Maintains precise integrity of proprietary infusion recipes.
  • Works closely with quality control team to maintain product integrity and compliance with state regulations.
  • Maintains thorough documentation of terpene profiles and infusion recipes.
  • Performs METRC track and trace responsibilities throughout the batch lifecycle.
  • Provides recommendations for continuous improvement and efficiency of the infusion processes.
  • Responsible for compliant cleaning of equipment and tools.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment throughout the infusion process.
  • Follows written and verbal SOP instructions with extreme precision.
  • Adheres to all safety precautions and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Keeps all infusion recipes confidential.
  • Schedules and tracks testing.
  • Operates infusion equipment, overseeing maintenance and cleanliness of machines.
  • Ensures that the infusion process is consistent and precise.
  • Maintains strict cleanliness practices along with an essential motivation for high quality.
  • Maintains Key Performance Indicator (KPI) documentation.
  • Assists other employees in accomplishing company goals.
  • Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
  • Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by manager.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to work independently and part of a team, following instructions and completing tasks assigned by superiors.

  • Must be accurate and precise.
  • Excellent communication skills as position that interfaces with various departments and contractors.

  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work well with others and works well in a team setting.
  • Able to communicate clearly with line supervisors and management.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of basic mathematics and science/engineering is required.
  • 1 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably a formulation plant.
  • Strong understanding of cannabis chemistry, extraction methods, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with mechanical equipment, water activity reader, scales, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Shift work is required.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
  • Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • Must be able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.
  • Must be able to complete repeated twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting activities throughout shift and for prolonged periods of time.
