JOB SUMMARY Performs a variety of quality control tests on products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs analysis of finished products, in-process, and raw materials to check characteristics against testing specifications to assure quality prior to shipment.
- Calibrates and operates QC testing instrumentation in a safe and professional manner.
- Notifies the QA Manager of unusual product observations, or analytical results, during analysis to assure potential quality issues are identified, reviewed, and resolved prior to release of product.
- Ensures all appropriate paperwork (COA's) accompanies shipments of raw materials.
- Records and analyzing statistical data. Write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
- Recommend modifications to existing, or suggests new standards, methods, and procedures.
- Maintains an orderly, safe work area.
- Maintains a retrievable and traceable system of quality documentation.
- Complies with MSDS, SOP's, cGMP, and HACCP procedures.
- Participate in conducting monthly regulatory inspections.
- Documentation of quality work using approved quality worksheets/notebooks; documentation must be detailed, accurate and meet cGMP requirements.
- Filing, data entry, and ordering (entering lab results in Excel, organization and filing of MSDS and COAs, ordering of lab materials as needed).
- Demonstrates and understands safety as a core value and follow the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; reinforces and coaches others to do the same.
- Performs routine manufacturing maintenance tasks including organization and cleaning of work areas, disposal of product samples, chemicals, and hazardous waste.
- Understands and follows established safety guidelines, consistently complying with all safety procedures (e.g., PPE, Lock Out Tag Out).
- Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by your manager.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to multitask efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Mechanical/Technical Aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment failures and make minor adjustments.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Windows and internet applications.
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment.
- Ability to work variable shifts.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of supply management, manufacturing, and inventory control experience highly preferred.
- Purchasing, procurement, and industry buyer experience highly preferred.
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Google Docs) keyboarding skills, 10-key speed of at least 40 WPM with minimal errors.
- ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience preferred.
