While the primary focus of this role is Sales Data Analyst, the successful candidate may also cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs. The Sales Data Analyst will play a critical role on the Sales Analytics team by providing ongoing support for the wholesale sales organization. Primary responsibilities include the analysis of sales and market data, assisting with sales planning, developing, and maintaining analytic reporting in excel and power BI, building data models, and SalesForce.com administration. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, have analytic analysis background, experience developing reporting and data modes in excel and PowerBI, expert Excel, and experience supporting CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) sales, finance, and/or supply chain organizations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compile, analyze, and report all segments of available data, trends (historical/future), & KPI's
  • Contribute to the development of sales plans
  • Monitor and analyze store sales, distributor sales, and inventory data.
  • Provide actionable insights to guide the sales, marketing, and distribution teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate wholesale sales team performance and make analysis recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards in Excel and PowerBI
  • Provide support to leadership with ad hoc reporting needs as directed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or inherent to the position.
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

  • Strong research, data analysis, and modeling skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage tasks and work under deadlines while producing a high-quality result.
  • Advanced user skills of Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, queries)
  • Proficiency of the English language, verbal, and written format.
  • Comfortable working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, maintaining large data sets, and data cleansing.
  • Coachable, highly motivated, and driven to succeed.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or related field + 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years prior CPG analytical analysis experience working in mid/large size company sales operations environment required. (Prefer cannabis, beverage, apparel, or food industries background)
  • Advanced/Intermediate experience developing excel and BI tools, data models, and reporting.
  • Programming experience: Excel formulas. VBA a plus - Object Oriented Programming
  • Analytical Skills: Expert Excel, Cognos, Power BI, Data Model Framework, and Retail Math Analytics
  • Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
  • Willingness and ability to undergo cross-training in various roles within the department as required.
