REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services Department or their designeeSTIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The Behavioral Health Services Department (BHS) seeks two current BHS School Psychologists to chair the University Student Committee. This opportunity will occur primarily from September 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 up to 20 hours total. These chairs are responsible for managing the BHS CAGS University training program. RESPONSIBILITIES: The BHS School Psychologists will need to be familiar with the specific roles and responsibilities of the University Student Committee. As chair they will be responsible for:
- Scheduling: scheduling all committee meetings, creating calendar events and Zoom links
- Facilitation: Creating and sharing an agenda, assigning meeting roles and facilitating the meeting
- Data: Maintain and report attendance, share data and information about the work of the Committee
- Projects: Ensure the completion of the committee's required activities and projects. Committee projects vary each year but can include: annual reports, training program promotional materials, and updates to application forms.
- Communication: Communicate with administrators and peers about the goals, projects, and outcomes of the committee
- Act as a liaison with all seven MA university's school psychology programs to share information about the BHS University training program
- Create and share information materials about the BHS University training program.
- Plan the annual BHS University training program application and acceptance process. Each year, BHS receives over 100 university student applications. The chairs are responsible for planning the events related to the application and acceptance process, including the informational meeting and the matching process.
- Plan the annual BHS University training program forum. This annual forum allows university students to highlight the work they have done in their field experience. The chairs coordinate student submissions, plan the agenda, and disseminate the event information to BHS staff and students.
- Share information with all BHS University students about resources and opportunities within BHS
The stipend will be paid at the hourly rate of $56.81 and once the responsibilities are completed.QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
- Currently working in Boston Public Schools;
- Appropriate school psychologist licensure.
