State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Position Summary: The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. This position is PRN (per diem) and offers flexible hours. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning of patients.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the medical record.
- Report any changes in patient condition to the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current STNA certification in the state of Ohio.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
