Your Impact To ensure efficiency in the acquisition, storage and distribution of our supply chain including food and non-food items and other food services related materials. Receives, stocks, and distributes supplies and materials to proper departments and/or areas in a timely manner. Inventories and replenishes user area stock. Reports variances to department manager including damages, defects, and missing items.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSReports to:

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Assists with unloading and verifying commodity and purchased food and supply shipments into the warehouse against requisitions and invoices. Corrects and/or notifies vendors and supervisor of errors at time of delivers
  • Place orders away properly, using the FIFO system, in the designated areas
  • Assists in driving and delivering food and supplies from the warehouse to off-site locations
  • Picks, packs & stages items for delivery; preparing product including weighing and separating product
  • Marking, dating, and labeling with identifying information and ensures the accuracy of dates and labels on all required items
  • Delivers orders to locations in a timely manner
  • Well versed in units of measure and the use of digital scales and thermometers
  • Daily cleaning and organizing of warehouse, walk-in coolers, and freezers. Ensures food storage areas shelves are clean and stocked by front-facing, checking codes-dates-labels, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
  • Maintains documents relating to area/aisle assignments (i.e., cycle counts, cleanliness, rotation, and appropriate space utilization). Monitors product usage for appropriate par levels.
  • Daily physical inventory and ordering of foods and supplies
  • Inventory management tasks assist with inventory counts, product ordering & end of month process
  • Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health, sanitation, safe work practices and regulatory documents
  • Immediately reports safety hazards
  • Maintain and promote a friendly and approachable attitude towards the client, guests, and staff
  • Communicate clearly and openly with all staff members for overall success
  • Uphold a professional appearance and mannerism
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
  • Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department
  • Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness
  • Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products
  • Ability to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors
  • Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONMINIMUM REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
PREFERRED:LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSMINIMUM REQUIRED:
  • Serv Safe Certified
