StockerJob Overview:We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Stocker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for stocking fruits and vegetables, inspecting and sorting produce, unloading trucks, and assisting customers with their inquiries. - Stocking Produce: Regularly stock fresh fruits and vegetables in an organized and appealing manner.
- Sorting and Inspecting Produce: Inspect and sort fruits and vegetables to ensure quality and freshness. Remove any damaged or spoiled items.
- Unloading Trucks: Assist with unloading deliveries of produce from trucks to ensure timely availability for customers.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product questions and ensuring they have a positive experience at the market.
- Lift Heavy Items: Safely lift and carry boxes of produce weighing up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the day.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when inspecting and sorting produce.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Previous experience in a retail, grocery, or farmer's market setting is a plus but not required.
Working Conditions:
- Indoors
- Physical labor involving lifting, standing, and walking.
- Some weekend availability required.
