We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Stockroom and Shipping/Receiving Manager to join our dynamic team in El Segundo.

Summary

Stockroom and Shipping/Receiving Manager manages and overseas the day-to-day activities of both the stockroom and shipping-receiving departments. Assigns and distributes work assignments inside the Stockroom to meet daily requirements or goals. Resolves internal and external customer service issues in a cost effective and expeditious manner. Manages regulatory compliance issues and legal requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Plan and coordinate with planning, production, procurement, and the shipping receiving logistics teams to streamline accurate order fulfillment such as production kit pulls and material deliveries.

* Supervises the inventory transactions and receiving operations of all materials going in and out of the Stockroom.

* Manage Inventory, generate detailed cycle counts to provide measurable inventory results, resolve discrepancies, and develop controls and procedures to minimize errors.

* Manage periodic physical inventory audits and training teams on inventory practices.

* Create inventory reports for both internal and external use.

* Identifies, prioritizes, develops, and implements complex material flow management and cross-functional inventory control process improvement projects that include forward-thinking on project introduction/development/implementation.

* Oversees internal movements of products, creates rules and procedures for all internal material handling.

* Develops and implements procedures to simplify process, improve accuracy, and improve operating efficiency.

* Manages and trains department personnel in roles and responsibilities.

* Ensures that stockroom standard practices and procedures are followed.

* Supervises the packing of items and the verification of related paperwork.

* Directs outbound logistics operation activities.

* Oversees inventory of all shipping supplies, including boxes, packing materials, tape labels and any special supplies.

* Prioritizes shipping and receiving tasks based on daily, weekly and monthly goals.

* Verifies that complete orders have been shipped and received in accordance with requirements.

* Files environmental certification applications.

* Coordinates the scheduling of staff members.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages activities of department. Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing. Will hire, evaluate and counsel department employees. Manage responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.

Knowledge Level in Own Technical Area - Applies knowledge of stockroom management and principles. Uses initiatives to manage department to meet goals. Familiar with logistics concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills - Analyzes stock levels and make data-driven decisions. Identifies discrepancies in inventory records, addresses logistical challenges, and implements corrective actions. Implements a problem-solving mindset and instigates a material flow managements system for department.

Independence & Initiative - A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Self-directed and motivated to keep material storage and logistic process running smoothly within the department.

Organization of Self - Works independently and leads others in the department. Ability to apply a high degree to time management skills. Good attendance and punctuality. Responsible for prioritizing own work initiatives and develop goals and strategies for optimal stockroom management and scheduling.

Leadership - Demonstrates ability to lead and direct the work of others. Displays Ethics and Business Conduct. Ability to come up with a plan and then schedule, organize, and implement it.

Communication - Regularly shows ability to communicate with other departments to integrate logistics with shared business systems throughout the company. Ability to communicate professionally to customers, carriers and personnel.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four- year college or university in Logistics or a related field and 5+ years of directly related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Advanced knowledge of Excel is required.

* Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

* Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100

* Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen

* Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP)

* Excellent communication skills.

* Must be a US Person (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

Salary Range:

$59,400.00-$79,310.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
