The stockroom/parts attendant performs a variety of physical and administrative tasks to assist the Purchasing Agent in maintaining a neat, orderly, and accurate inventory of parts, supplies, and materials that are needed for all aspects of plant operation. These tasks include: •Receiving all incoming materials, while ensuring processes are followed to maintain inventory accuracy •Shipping of goods and handling of returns utilizing a variety of vendors, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, and International carriers. •Assisting with monitoring parts room inventory and performing inventory control functions •Assisting with writing stock requisitions and placing stock and consumable items orders •Ensuring cleanliness and organization of Parts Room •Working with Maintenance Personnel to ensure required parts are on hand •Serving as back-up to Purchasing Agent •Assisting with obtaining vendor pricing and availability of requested items •Operating Forklift and Baler Equipment and performing a variety of administrative tasks as assigned Requirements •Strong computer and typing skills •Strong attention-to-detail, organizational skills •Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all types of people •Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs •Ability to operate Forklift and Baler Equipment in a safe manner
