Our mission is to work as a team, taking responsibility in building loyalty with our customers and our coworkers, to exceed expectations in providing product and services that combine high quality with integrity and to assist all internal and external customers to assure that their needs are met in a 'Customer Service Plus 1' manner.Position Summary:Responsible for building and property maintenance to ensure facilities are safe, maintained and secure in compliance with OSHA and MIOSHA standards. Installation, maintenance and repair of all equipment in all the Quality Dairy Company facilities and rental/leased properties.Job Duties:
  • Equipment Emergencies per S-5-06 repaired same day
  • After hours' page messages responded to within 20 minutes per S-5-06
  • Refrigeration systems
    • Braise and repair refrigerant lines
    • Maintain all refrigeration systems
    • Read gauges/meters
    • Replace insulation on refrigeration lines
  • HVAC
    • Install/Repair HVAC systems
    • Repair and replace compressors, motors and electrical parts on HVAC units
    • Maintain units; change belts, filters, clean coils
    • Run gas piping
  • Beverage Machines
    • Install/Repair frozen cappuccino, slush machines, coffee brewers, fountain equipment and ice makers
    • Install, clean and repair pop heads, filters, ice makers
    • Repair leaky fittings on incoming water lines for all beverage machine equipment
    • Install and repair water solenoids, heaters, switches, thermostats
    • Repair grinders
    • Replace seals, motors, floats, brix, etc. in slush and fountain machines
  • Roller Grills
    • Clean and degrease rollers, repair and replace roller motors and change seals
  • Indoor/Outdoor Lighting
    • Repair and replace light bulbs, ballasts, sockets, photocells, time clocks, fixtures, road signs, wall packs, flood lighting, etc.
  • Plumbing
    • Repair and replace sinks, toilets, drain lines, water leaks, water heaters, etc.
  • Gasoline Pumps
    • Repair and replace gas hoses, handles, filters, and breakaways.
    • Support I.T. Dept. with repair and replacement on printers and electrical boards
  • Laundromats
    • Repair and replace equipment
  • Maintain facility
  • Perform the following:
    • lighting and electrical repairs
    • minor floor repairs
    • painting
    • plumbing repairs
    • trouble shoot overhead door repairs and belt replacement
    • minor wall repairs
    • seasonal changeover (p.m.) of facilities
  • preventative maintenance on all equipment in the store
  • Use tools and machinery in an appropriate manner
  • Clean and replace defective parts as needed
  • Replace seals on freezer doors, ice chests, etc.
  • Change filters on applicable units as part of seasonal preventive maintenance.
  • Flag pole repair
    • Replacement of appropriate flags
  • Record keeping
    • Assure start up, day end and weekend check lists are documented and within parameters
    • Fill out work orders upon completion of job
    • Utilize maintainizer system to access work orders and equipment history
    • Record freon usage by department and equipment
  • Document all purchases appropriately

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift, and pull repetitively
  • Exposure to temperature and noise extremes
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize time and meet quality expectations
  • Ability to remain flexible in scheduling
  • Exposure to chemicals
  • Exposure to high-speed equipment
  • Some irregular hours 10 to 30% of time (late nights, early days)
  • Holiday and weekend work
  • Proper footwear required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to rotate on call schedule
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Electrical knowledge
  • Welding experience
  • General computer skills
  • 3 years' experience in maintenance preferred
  • Ability to express ideas clearly
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of safe lifting procedures
  • Knowledge of refrigeration gauges and pressures
  • EPA certified
  • Knowledge of multi meter
  • Knowledge of HVAC
  • Knowledge of plumbing and piping
  • Basic knowledge of building and construction
  • CDL license, type B preferred
  • Acceptable driving record
