About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Coding Auditor Documentation Improvement Specialist to join our team in Coding, In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical coding documentation, as well as identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance documentation processes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization maintains compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC); American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in medical coding and documentation
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA): or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) desired
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) desired
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software
Responsibilities:
- Review and audit medical coding documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify areas for improvement in documentation processes and develop and implement solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in medical coding documentation
- Provide training and support to team members on documentation improvement processes
